It's Sunday, 08.01.2012, 8 days after New Year. It's kinda fast actually, really. I'm 26 years old wannabe this year and I was like.. I'm that old now? Suddenly I feel afraid of getting older. I'm not afraid of old faces with wrinkles, but I'm afraid, when we're getting older, we're losing a lot, especially family members. I'm 26 now ??? Phew..

Forget about that. Well, pictures that will be shown below was actually taken last year, but I'm totally busy and don't have time to edit it a bit until now. Still, it's 2.00 a.m and I'm still here even feeling so tired after playing futsal for 2 hours. Pictures were taken at Studio around KL, if not mistaken and sorry, I forgot the studio's name. Talent's name is Fenny, forgot her real name also. Haha. It was the first time we met and we did the photoshoot like almost 12.00 a.m late at night. Really tired from KL, I drove back to Port Dickson later on. It was also my first time did a photoshoot session in a studio. Kinda lost on that day.

Holla ! Phew..it's 2012, the year of the Dragon if not mistaken based on Chinese Callendar. I'm so busy with reports. No time to go out and shoot beautiful girls at the moment. I miss a lot the sound of the shutter and I miss the moment to see new pictures. Well, easily said, I miss photography a lot ! I noticed in facebook, there are a lot of interesting classes for editing at affordable price per class. This year perhaps, I'll attend a lot of editing classes in order to sharpen my skill in editing and learn something new in creativity.

Hmmm..nothing much to say, I'll be back soon with a hit, perhaps. Haha. See you guys soon.

Everyone put your hands up and get your drinks up, and now put your hands up, put your hands up, put put put put..haha. Currently writing this post why listening to K-Pop - 2PM Hands Up. Yeah? I do listen to K-Pop but not that crazy. Hey, it's New Year - 2012. The year which somehow people talked about it the most.

A lot of things happened in 2011. From nothing to something, from good to best, from bad to worst, from happy moment to sadness, cycled from January to December. Wishlist which I wanted to have in 2011, well, some of it I didn't managed to get it. Still single, still can't get that sexy Canon 5D mark II and my plan to do business in photography seems dying. But hey, I managed to get my pictures and name into newspaper, thanks to Zahirah for the help, I managed to get new phones, I managed to create my own portfolio. That was great !

Well, each year, people will set their wish list for that year. Here's my wish list,

Amelia Clair, sweet girl from Lebanon, was the latest model that I shot last week. Given the chance for a photoshoot session with her was like a dream comes true for my portfolio. The whole session was like studying in english class because we need to communicate with it. I was like, wow..how to ask her to pose. Usually when I shot a model, I will just say, "lentikkan badan", but during that day, I was totally blanked, what's "lentik" in English. Haha. In the end, I need to show her how to pose and she will follow. Yeah, I know, it's frightening to see me pose. Haha.

During the photoshoot session, I used Canon 1000D with Canon lens 50mm F1.8. For more than 1 year, I have been using it, to prove to people out there, even using beginner level of DSLR, I can produced great pictures from it. I know some people out there, when I joined an outing, they saw me holding my Canon 1000D, they seems to look down at me. Nah...that will never make me feel down at all. I don't deny it, sometimes I feel tiny, haha. It happened when during an outing, I'm the only one using beginner level entry of DSLR while others using semi pro like 7D,60D, full frame and a lot more. Again, I'm not afraid of that, just feel a bit tiny in the industry.

2012 is coming soon. Well, for the new year, my new concept will be "It's moment that i seek, not perfection". People love moments rather than just a perfect picture. So the year 2012, I want people to fall in love with my arts. That's my target for now. As I said before, I'm not a pro photographer, I'm a hobbyist, but I want to be a pro hobbyist in photography. It's like the nature understand what you feels. I love this place so much. It's a place for me to calm down, to be alone, to free the mind for a lot of things. At night sometimes you can see thousand of stars.

One month to go for the year 2012. It seems time goes by so fast. I still remembered when we were entering the year 2011, I set a target which this year my team will roar in photography. But until now, it was like only 40% of it happened. It's not that I didn't do anything, it's because I'm to busy with my real job. So in 2012, I set my mind, I will not do any wedding/engagement and others which fix dates required. I'm having trouble with that as my real job needs me like almost everyday. I will only shoot talents/models and active in advertisement/commercial only. Well, the year 2011, a lot of interesting things happened in my photography world. You can read it as per previous entry.

Billboard, will be my next target. Billboard, a big advertisement/commercial board where you can see it at big cities or at the highway, at town and a lot more. I'm hoping somehow, my photos publish on a billboard about something. The year 2012 I want to try with advertisement/commercial on a billboard or in a magazine. Some people might think it's kinda weird for me to set my target like that. A lot of people there use photography as a side income but as for me, only wanted my photos published. Seriously said, I'm into that. I love my photos being published. Printed and people look and touch it. It feels great. Well, hoping that all my dreams will come true. Wish someday, somehow, on a big billboard, my photos will be published as per below ^^,

Wow ! Today I was like, wow. Totally speechless. My photos which I captured in newspaper, one of the main newspaper in Malaysia, Utusan Malaysia which on Sunday it's Mingguan Malaysia. You can see it at the Panca Indera under the M2 in Citra Wanita page nine. The talent Nur Zahirah told me that my picture will be use today in the newspaper but I never expect it will be, a full page ! The best part is where at the left corner at the bottom, my name Hasif Rahman stated there. I was like, wow. It's like suddenly the whole Malaysia look at my photos. It's a great honour and to Nur Zahirah Zamri, thanks a lot, i mean a lot, so much. Happy cry :')

The year 2011 will come to end soon and if you want to know, one of my wishlist in 2011 is where I wanted my photos publish in newspaper and guess what, 2 times it happened. The first was in Majalah Remaja 15th June 2011. Click here . Now in the newspaper. Next year my wishlist will be, the media writes about me and my photography. A full page perhaps. Haha.

By the way, I love the header which the newspaper put in the page because that picture I used to thank my blog's reader at the end of this blog. They crop it of course. Haha. Yes I know, currently I'm a bit slow in photography. For your information, I just recover and soon will be very active in photography. Talents are waiting. See you guys soon ^^,

Fall asleep late at night. Cry and laugh for something stupid. Look at something sexy. Think and worried about a lot of things that never happen. Buy things to show how cool we are. We shy at the first place but later we’re the one that overexposed ourself. We said no but deep inside we said yes. Being playboy. Play video games for 24 hours in a room.

Hey ! I'm back ! Last month I shot a sweet couple called Fendi and Tatin at Taman Botani, Putrajaya. It was me that offered them for a sweet couple photoshoot. Lucky the weather was great and I brought some props.

I brought my friend Najib to shoot together. Well, to compare his picture and mine, it's not fair, because he's a wedding photographer and I'm just a newbie. But I learned a lot from him on that day especially about angle and moment when it involves couples.

Huiii..nyot nyot nyot nyot..haha. I'm back, yes, Hasif Rahman is back after weeks with so called Lead Camp at Alpha Bangi with like a soldier training there. But thanks to that, currently I have a six pack, haha ! Well a lot to share during that camp but it's better not to or else people will not dare to join PTD. Haha

Last few weeks, forgot what's the date already, I went to a studio, Am Studio at Sri Kembangan with some friends and a talent/model look alike like Tiz Zaqyah. When the first time I met her, I was kinda surprised, how the hell my friend can ask Tiz for a photoshoot. Haha. Her name is Vyda Ngadimon, and if not mistaken she's Indonesian but now she's a Malaysian. Don't fool by her looks, she's got two kids already. Hoho.

It was my second time using studio for photoshoot. I'm still not use with it. Here are some of the shots taken during that day and others will be uploaded soon. Using only Canon 1000D with 18-55 kit lens and studio light.

Happy birthday to me. Officially I'm 25 years old on 28th October 2011. Seriously I feel time goes by too fast. I'm 25 years old of age? Haha. Well, as a human, we do getting older, not year by year but seconds. We never get that seconds back. When people celebrate birthday, it's not we're celebrating we're getting older, but it's a way to gather around with families, friends.

Well, nothing interesting for my birthday other than my birthday party cancelled. Burn hundreds of RM just for it to be cancelled. Friends too busy to hang out together, busy with their love ones, their jobs. It's ok. Well, maybe it's just me so happy about it. Well, it's my birthday, why don't I'm happy with it right?

I'll be away from photography for 2 weeks since I'll be having physical course somewhere in Bangi with JPAM. Seriously i'm waiting for it but also wanna avoid it. Haha. Today is my first job, i mean in Pre Engagement. Wow, seriously I was kinda scared at first time, but things going smoothly. Credit to Najib Azimi for the help. Oh ya, I'm now creating a group and will all out in Wedding Photography. Wait for it ya ^^,

Ok, I knew this sweet couple from a friend of mine, Ain Azahar. She asked me to shoot for her engagement but I can't since my group is not complete yet. So I offer her to shoot for pre engagement. The weather was fine, the sun shines great, and things run smoothly. But no one knows how my heart ran :p

Woooooooot, hello there. It's been a while I'm away. As usual, busy with life. I'm kinda sleepy right now. So much to tell you guys but seriously I'm sleepy. Haha. This talent name as stated above, 'Ayuuni A. Fauzi, it was my first time to meet her. Nothing much to story about her because I don't know her well but she's kinda young, if not mistaken 19 years old. Met her at an event for Bridal Photoshoot, we took her to somewhere else in Putrajaya and create our own event for 1 hour session. My friends uploaded her pictures before and it's kinda similar. So, I play with black and white to make it a bit different.

It's just my personal thing that keep on hounting my head. Yes, I miss them both so much. Really wanna..really wanna....I really wanna meet them, smile with them, talk with them, laugh together. What the heck I'm crying..Months ago both of them were the only person that accompanied me. Seriously said, my phone full with their text. Because of several things, yes, it's my bad, things changed and it's like we never meet before.

I miss both of them so much. If only I can turned back the time and be someone better. I don't need love if I have them. I rather be single forever as long as they are by my side. I know they are doing well out there. With Syifasya currently in relationship, doing well as practical teacher, Nora now studying at UITM Puncak Alam, they hang out together like almost every week. I'm happy for them. Sometimes I wanted to text them, really do but I stopped. So afraid to text them, afraid that things will turn bad again. So it's better to step away. If we managed to meet together again, I know that things will not be the same as before.

No matter what, years coming, as long as I'm still breathing, both of you will never miss in my pray. I pray to Allah everyday for both of you, to be well cared by Him, for your happiness and success. I'm giving my best to all of you and I'm really sorry if it's not enough. I'm just a simple person, not rich, not fashionable, really simple. Thats me, Hasif Rahman.

So many things to say, so many things to share, but none was there. I know I will end up crying alone. It's like almost everyday. It's 2 a.m in the morning now, and yet, I'm here typing an entry. I can't sleep, crying, red eyes. I'm ok if they hurt my feelings, I will never put a grudge on them, but I will hurt my feelings if my actions hurts theirs.

As I said before,

Outing : Sanggar Gemalai Creation

From previous entry, last week I went for an outing, an event by Sanggar Gemalai Creation at Taman Botani, Putrajaya. There were three couples with three different dress. I'm with Alamein and Aslinda during that day. Seriously said, it was too crowded, where one couple, almost 15 photographers shoot at once. I was like, what the heck? Come on, be discipline, divide among ourselves and rotate so that all of us can shoot those three couples. But some of them, still wanted to shoot only certain couple. I shot only like 50 shots and later on I went for lunch. Kinda not in mood. But later on, I with 2 others, Taufiq and See Serak, we managed to "steal" two talents and create our own outdoor photoshoot at other places. Pictures will be uploaded soon.

As per this entry, I will upload pictures from which I shot the couples. The theme was Bridal Photoshoot. A lot of them upload their pictures in facebook and seems kinda all having the same pictures and composition as I told you before, one couple, 15 photographers. To avoid my pictures seems like copy cat, I edit it and make it like a Fairy Tales. Err..I don't think it's a look alike Fairy Tale, but what the heck, kinda lazy to think. Haha. I play with black and white. Hoping you guys will love the way I present it. Enjoy ^^,

Err..did I mentioned before, this was my first time experience in a look alike pre wedding outdoor photoshoot. Seriously said, I'm lost during that event. With no experience, with no idea, just by looking at others wedding pictures, I managed to get this few shots. I promised, will do better in the future. I will join more in pre wedding outing to learn how to shoot, how to get the moment. Hoping one day, I will have my chance to have my own wedding job. ^^,

I noticed that currently my pictures kinda "moody". Lack of happy moment. Kinda sad, lonely and etc. Is it because I'm in that situation or it's my style of shoot. I need something new. I want my pictures to be like happy moment. Maybe I can get that by couple photoshoot or pre wedding or just a happy outdoor photoshoot with colourful props without any high fashion dress. Yes, maybe that will help. I'm invited for a bridal photoshoot tomorrow. Will shoot it with different style. Need more happy moment in my pictures. I've printed some of my pictures and hang it and it seems so sad moment. Haha.

This picture was taken during the last outing. The talent's name, just call Wanda. Below is the picture taken from my sweet Canon 1000D. Edit a bit the colour, put a vignette and wah la. That's all. Really. All done with photoshop. I'm not the type that love to use so much layer.

Here I play with colours. The black and white, the natural colour with bokeh texture, the vintage colour with bokeh texture.

But for me, I love this the most, even the natural colour looks more interesting. Haha.

I took her from the university and on the way to the location for the photoshoot, we chat a lot. Bla bla bla and bla bla. She's kinda friendly. Suddenly she started to speak "kelate". My life is like a circle. From happy to sad and roll to happy later. I got a lot of bestfriends but none of them stick. One of my favourite quote when I'm down,

I don't deny it hurts, it really hurts. But I'm not the type that will down to earth about it for a long time. At least I've done my job as their bestfriend. Some of them think I don't understand them, maybe I'm a bit to much care about them, maybe because they're afraid I'll fall in love with them, maybe I'm not like the better one, maybe just maybe, it's not enough. But none of them understand me. They never ask. They learned from my act not from my heart.

Hello there. Still an entry regarding Contemporary Muslimah Outing by Jo & Jo Design + photographer krew, Rina Salleh Collection Contemporary Muslimah Outing, Sponsor by Rina Salleh Collection, MUA krew, Cala Man & Cala Qisya. I was told that our pictures will be uploaded at Joe Faizal's website and several chosen picture will be use by Rina Salleh to promote her clothes at her website. Kinda feel happy about it but if I'm not chosen, it's ok. At least I manage to get several photos for my portfolio. Currently I'm creating a portfolio, I mean printed portfolio for all my portraiture. I wanted to make a photobook. As I said before, printed photos will make you feel great about your artwork. As per mentioned at previous entry, I went to an outing organised by Jo & Jo Design + photographer krew, Rina Salleh Collection Contemporary Muslimah Outing, Sponsor by Rina Salleh Collection, MUA krew, Cala Man & Cala Qisya. During the event I was so, wow, feels like wanna go home immediately. All the photographers were using semi pro level DSLR and above. I was like, what the heck I'm doing here with my beginner level DSLR 1000D with 50mm lens. Sigh~ Feels like people laughing at me. Without shame, I took out my DSLR, hang it on my neck, and started taking pictures.

Juliana Zakaria was among the talents that I shot during that outing and I believed it was the first time we met. I'm not sure why, I managed to shoot her only for few pictures as later she went away with other photographers. The MUA for this talent was Zalina Yaakob, still it was the first time we met. For those who keep asking what is MUA, MUA stands for Make Up Artist. Eventhough it was the first time I met her, the way she posed, the way she understand what I ask, how I want to shoot her, and the eye contact, I know it was not her first time and she's really good in it. Today she added me in facebook and I saw few of her previous photoshoot in studio, and it was great. Kinda feels I'm not that good to shoot her. Haha.

Oh ya, 3 more talents coming up soon, Nurul Asyikin, Wanda Rossa and Engku Sulwani. All talents during the same event. Wait for it. For Wanda Rossa, I managed to shoot her for 2 sessions, so there will be 2 entries for her. Well, as I only shoot her for 15 minutes, here some of the shots taken during that day. Enjoy !

Huh~ That's the word that I can say now. Really tired but happy with the whole day yesterday. From early in the morning until the dinner. It was just so great ! It's like a revenge day after 2 months I didn't touch my DSLR at all and as per yesterday I shoot until my 8Gb memory card ran out !

Yesterday I went for outing organized by Joe Faizal and Rina Salleh called Contemporary Muslimah Outing at Lake Garden, Kuala Lumpur. 10 talents with 20 photoghraphers were divided into groups for 2 session with 2 different dress. The event, for me, run smoothly. We were given breakfast and lunch and all the people work together, changing talents after several shots which all the photographers manage to get the chance to shoot different talents. Seriously I forgot the talent's name except those which I shot before like Wanda Rossa.

The outing was for Rina Salleh to promote several dress for her online selling and as per the main objective of the outing, the best picture chosen by the organizer will be use for the selling website for the promotion. I'm not the type that wanna win that but I came there to shoot for my port folio but several pictures will be send to them. Win it or not, it's ok. No heart feelings ^^,

Several sad things happen during that event, a photographer son fall sick, a talent's brother died in accident. As a muslims, let us pray for the son to get well soon and for the brother, Al-fatihah~

Have you printed your photographs recently. It's a statement which I saw it almost like everyday at facebook by a photographer that inspired me so call Wazari Wazir. As per my view, to print our photographs is like a success to a photographer. Seriously said but a lot of people especially those who just involve in the photography world which for them, to print their photographs is just a small matter. They set their mind, any pictures they edit/post processing, they will get the same when it will be printed. If that the case, you're 101% wrong or you're just lucky to get it.

Have you heard where photographers talking about "calibrate their monitor"? It's one way to make sure that what you see on monitor will be 99% the same as printed. I've heard several ideas about calibrating it which one of it using "spider", a tool to calibrate the monitor but the price kinda expensive. You may google it. Another thing you can print it at a shop, look for the difference, and adjust your editing to make sure it will be the same, like try and error.

For the whole 2 years, i've been editing my photos which when printed it will be 99% similar as per seen in monitor. I don't denied it, some of it will be like a failure, from blue to purple, from bright to dark and so on. It's because the shop adjust my photos to look better at his screen. Different monitor will not showing the same colour sometimes. I've seen it. Some of my photos which I put a blue layer become purple when printed. I managed to get 2 shops for my arts and each of shops I know which photos I will send for printing.

Those involved in wedding photography or business in making album or easily said, always print their photos, will tell the same story, how to get the printed photos as per seen in their monitor. We might see in blog, flickr or any other websites the photos are "wow" but when they print it, it might be "oh man !". Haha. I've been there before. Experience tought me a lot.

Printed photos do give us the unique feeling. We can touch it, we can hold it, it's like the moment alive, like giving a birth. Buy a file, or sticky album, or album or anything, make it as your hardcopy portfolio. It's better to show to people rather than using digital. It feels great to show your friends an album rather than blog and flickr. Yes, I don't deny it, blog and flickr really helps, but the feeling will be different. Trust me.

When you keep a photo like about 20 years, it will started to become a bit yellowish, but hey, that photos will look alike antique ! It's far more better than using photoshop ! Well, at least for me it's great.

Sudah hampir 2 tahun aku terjebak dalam dunia photography. Teringat lagi masa awal2 aku beli DSLR, beli pun secara terburu - buru, tidak tahu kenapa dan mengapa aku pilih Canon dan aku pilih Canon 1000D. Waktu tu aku yang tidak tahu menahu, terasa bangga dapat 1000D rupanya2 DSLR yang aku beli tu rupanya beginner entry level je. Dengan kit lens 18-55 aku cuba shoot sana dan sini. Shoot gambar bunga ada gambar pertama aku ambil dan time tu terasa sangat bangga sampai upload kat facebook banyak - banyak pastu tag seolah - olah gambar tu terbaik ! Haha. Pastu aku upload gambar ayam pulak. Haha. Tapi time tu, aku dihina, dikeji, dikutuk, kalau yang puji pun sekadar nak jaga hati. Aku perhati gambar2 mereka yang dah lama terlibat waktu tu, memang terasa macam, sampahnya aku ni. Gambar2 aku shoot macam tak perlu pakai DSLR kot, pakai point and shoot atau kamera phone je pun boleh. Terasa, down sangat.

Aku memang minat photography, sejak kecik lagi, gambar2 macam dalam poskad, majalah, memang menarik minat aku. Aku beli lens 55-250, waktu tu aku pun tak faham sebenarnya fungsi2 lens ni, main beli je pastu shoot. Haha. Setahun aku dikutuk dan dihina sampai ada suruh aku buang DSLR tu. Time tu aku minta tunjuk ajar pun, semua berlagak sombong. Tapi entah kenapa aku tak putus asa. Benda yang kita minat kan, susah nak putus asa. Tapi lama kelamaan kutukan dan hinaan itu semakin kurang. Orang mula menghargai aku. Orang mula menjemput shoot sama. Orang mula menempah untuk servis. Aku bersyukur. Berkat sabar dan belajar dari Google dan You Tube serta dua guru iaitu Chot Touch dan Shutter Demon, aku menjadi seperti aku hari ini.

Namun aku masih mencari2 identiti tersendiri. Seperti Chot, dia mempunyai identiti street dan Shutter Demons dengan identiti moment dia. Macam2 aku cuba namun tiada satu pun yang aku terasa, sesuai dengan citarasa aku. Lalu aku gabungkan dua identiti ini, street dan moment. Aku terasa, ia melambangkan perasaan aku. Namun masih kurang. Aku suka letak words, ayat or watermark pada gambar, lalu pada satu hari aku mendapat idea, aku suka gambar seperti dalam majalah. Maybe dedahan sejak kecil yang suka melihat gambar - gambar dalam majalah. Rasanya, aku dah temui identiti aku, aku suka shoot gambar seperti dalam magazine ^^,

Nasihat aku kepada mereka - mereka yang baru menceburi dunia photography, cari identiti sendiri kerana minat kita pada sesuatu akan membuatkan kita lebih kreatif dalam menghasilkan sesuatu. Untuk berjaya dalam apa pun, pasti ada cabaran dan cabaran bukan dalam masa yang pendek, tetapi dalam masa yang sangat panjang. Jangan putus asa, rajin mencari ilmu, dan sentiasa berlatih ^^, Cakap macam aku ni pandai sangat je. Haha. Mungkin satu hari aku nak wat satu majalah untuk diri sendiri seperti ini :P

Assalammualaikum semua ! Tahun 2011 agak istimewa kerana Hari Raya Aidilfitri dan Hari Kemerdekaan Malaysia sangat berdekatan. Pada 30 Ogos 2011 bermulanya 1 Syawal dan pada 31 Ogos 2011 sambutan hari kemerdekaan. Seperti biasa media mula memainkan peranan dalam penggunaan kata - kata untuk memeriahkan lagi suasana. Jika tidak silap di kaca tv, media menggunakan tema "Merdeka Raya". Kalau dulu pada tahun..er...kurang pasti di mana Aidilfitri dan Deepavali yang berdekatan, media menggunakan tema "Kongsi Raya". Tidak kira apa pun tema yang dipakai, kedua - dua hari ini amat bermakna. Untuk Syawal telah pun diceritakan pada entry sebelum ini dan pada entry ini lebih kepada sambutan hari kemerdekaan kita di Malaysia.

Kita akan melangkah ke tahun 54 kemerdekaan di Malaysia setelah negara kita dijajah oleh beberapa negara yang dahulunya kagum dan iri hati akan hasil bumi di Malaysia. Begitu ramai para pejuang kita yang terkorban dalam memperjuangkan kemerdekaan. Bukan sehari, bukan seminggu, bukan sebulan, bukan setahun, malah lebih daripada itu. Tangisan demi tangisan, maut dalam perjuangan, doa di pohon setiap hari dan akhirnya pada 31 Ogos 1957 Malaysia mencapai kemerdekaan.

Kemerdekaan bukanlah sesuatu yang mudah diperolehi. Mungkin kita sebagai generasi yang lahir selepas merdeka hanya dapat merasakan semua itu hanya sekadar cerita, sejarah, tetapi bagi mereka yang berjuang, semua itu satu kejayaan yang sangat besar maknanya. Kita sebagai generasi baru harus berusaha mengekalkan kemerdekaan ini dan melindungi tanah air kita dari sebarang ancaman. Marilah kita memajukan negara kita, mengubah negara kita menjadi lebih baik dan bukannya mencetuskan huru hara hanya untuk memuaskan kehendak diri dan orang lain. Ingat, kehendak memusnahkan segalanya. Sejarah harus menjadi panduan kita kerana sejarah boleh berulang. Kegemilangan pasti akan tiba kejatuhan tetapi pastikan kejatuhan itu bukan kejatuhan yang dikesali tetapi kejatuhan yang boleh dipelajari. Mari kita semua melafazkan syukur atas kejayaan pejuang - pejuang yang dahulunya berjuang untuk kemerdekaan ini dan sedekahkan Al- Fatihah pada mereka yang berjuang. Tanpa mereka, siapalah kita pada masa kini. Al - Fatihah.

Today I want to story about one of my inspiration in my world of photography. I've been looking at his art for a long time and believe it or not every magazine related to photography will make an article about him, about his art and a lot more. His art known as The Classic Art or Fantasy. The way of the composition, the colour, the texture, lighting, it's just, superb ! His name is Kenvin Pinardy.

Kenvin Pinardy is an Indonesian Photographer, involved in photography 6 years plus. Within that range of time, he had created a lot of unique style for portraiture. He use photoshop for every pictures. He loves to combine portraiture with texture to make it look classic or full of fantasies because for him, the normal portraiture kinda boring. I'm kinda agree with him. For me, it's too common, to see the normal portraiture, being upload here and there, and currently, the DSLR is like a must have gadget, everyone shoot the same style, err..not everyone but majority.

People asked him, what tools he makes use of to create the superb pictures and he answered he uses Photoshop CS3 and play along with background texture, making sure that the background is darker than the subject to make sure that the subject appears more exposed. Playing with layer, colour balance, channel mixer and filter. It sounds so easy, but still, I can't manage to get it. Mine was like a bit rough but his pictures was so soft and he mixed the texture and the colour very well. I'm having problem to mix those two.

There, you can see, Kenvin Pinardy picture looks more soft and peaceful while mine look rough. I don't know yet how to do it like him, but I'm learning it now. Surf the internet about texture, playing with layer, soft picture and a lot more and later on I'll combine it. Not forgotten, YouTube, it's kinda a place where you can get video tutorial, where you can easily learn how to do certain technique. From what I learn, I will not 100% follow what they tought, surely I'll change it a bit to suite my style and taste. That's how I learn about editing. There's no shortcut in learning but there will always a shortcut in solving.

By the way, Kenvin Pinardy, can you at least teach me the basic? ^^,

Hey guys, ever feels when you're trying to get something, a lot of things happened and it make simple things become complicated? I'm just, wow, don't know what to say anymore. I need answers for now, not results. A lot of things happened and I don't know why.

Before this I got these two best friends. I'm just being me when I'm with someone. I'm kinda a guy who cares too much. Seriously. It's hurt when you're being hate because of being yourself. I thought friends are those who accept both our pros and cons. I don't hate them but I just don't know what to do. For me, I think it's better to just ignore them even I know that it hurts so much. Yeah, I miss them, Syifasya and Nora, really, so much. Everyday I want to speak with them, at least, "hi". But I don't want because of me, being caring so much about them, they will not be happy. Sometimes I wonder, why I'm being so care about others rather than myself. It's just me.

Maybe it's better to just let go, perhaps. A wise man once said, to love does not mean being together. Well, maybe that wise man speaks the truth. Everything will be alright in the end, and if it is not, it's not the end. Someone quotes this, and you know what, it's damn true ^^,

It's Hana Tajimaaaa !!!!! Look alike ! Haha. It's not her actually, but one of her die hard fans and also one of my talent that look alike as the famous Hana Tajima Simpson, the British Fashion Designer, MAYSAA founder. Before this I heard her name several time where at first I thought she's a Japanese artist for some sort of movies or series until one day one of my friends told me she's selling hijab and dress through online, if not mistaken called Maxi style? My friend told me about Hana Tajima when I was looking for a new design of dress for my talent outdoor photoshoot, and my friend gave me the link. Autumn is one of the four season that shows the transition from summer into winter where you can see the leafs become brown and fall. Years ago, I remember there was a story from Korea with the title of "Autumn in my heart". Kinda a sad story with nice opening theme song. I don't get what's the meaning of "Autumn in my heart" but as per that series, I think it's about love but in the end they can't be together, errr..right? I watch the series but not all of it, haha, but I do love the opening theme song ^^,

During the outdoor photoshoot, one of our member came up with an idea to throw the leafs to the talent/model and shoot while she looks like capturing it. Ok, the idea was great but we forgot something where the leafs were dead leafs and throwing it, it was not only the leafs but also tiny dust which make the eyes of the talent closed everytime they throw the leafs. That's why from the picture you may see the eyes closed. Other than that, the surrounding didn't help to much because the background kinda full of trees and when you shoot, it's hard to see the leafs. I've tried more than 5 shots and it seems the same so I changed a bit where I shoot close up and the results kinda great, at least for me.

Playing with the so call bokeh is one of the favourite thing that every photographer love to shoot. With correct composition and creativity, bokeh does help to create something. What? What is Bokeh? err..I googled it and Bokeh is the quality, amount and shape of blur. Haha. You can see it in pictures where the background seems blurry, not edited but straight from the camera and the effect looks better using prime lens such as 50mm where you can see round light like stars when you shoot a subject with light coming from the tree (for example) at the background.

People sometimes (newbie) asked me how to do that and you know what, I really don't know how to answer it. Haha. I may know how to shoot but when you ask how, I don't know how to teach you using words. lol. One thing for sure, to get it, you'll need a prime lens or tele lens but not wide or ultra wide lens. For Canon users like me, just buy the Canon 50mm F 1.8 USM around RM350.00. It's the cheapest prime lens but sharp and really good at least for hobbyist like me. For better portrait lens I recommend to buy the Canon 85mm F1.8 USM where the bokeh looks better and nice.

A shot during sun set

Hello there ! As per previous entry, during the Garden Portrait, I shot different situations where first the garden, second playing with the sun which I will make an entry about it later in black and white perhaps and the third one was during the warm sunset. It was kinda late around 6.00 p.m during that day where suddenly the light from the sun was so great with warm yellow/orange in colour.

I managed to shoot it candid as there were 7-8 people there with semi pro DSLR while I'm using newbie Canon 1000D combine with lens without USM, haha. I'm not the type that love to shoot in a large group because I love to shoot in a relax way, which it will gives me more time to think about the angle and composition.

The warm colour is totally straight from the camera, but I reduced the vibrance to avoid the pictures look oversaturated/ too warm. Enjoy it ^^,

It was like a last minute decision to join this outing or not last few weeks. Just about 1 hour before it started, I message Taufiq and said I wanted to join. I don't know who's the talent/model on that day, the only thing I know that the theme was something called English Camp? English....err...forgot.

The shot was taken using Canon 1000D with 55-250 Canon IS at Wetland Putrajaya. The talent/model name is Hafizah Hani. Other info I don't know because I don't really talked much with her on that day. Just went there to shoot.

It was not a Garden Portrait actually but the way I shoot it seems like it, so I changed the title, haha. I make it into 3 different parts, where part one, it's The Garden Portrait. Here some of the shots taken. Will update more later, if, only if I'm not busy.

It's a day where 90,000 people came to watch, to support, their national football team which in Malaysia they are well known as Harimau Malaya with Dato' K Rajagobal as the coach. It's Malaysia vs Singapore, the second round of World Cup Brazil 2014 Asia qualifier, the second league. We were 3-5 behind and what we need to go to the next stage at least a 2-0 win. We believe we can do it, always. That's the spirit. Malaysia Boleh ! The day we entered the stadium, we were so, believe that we can !

Oh ya, this is me, Hasif Rahman. A nerd fans with photography as a hobby and futsal as a tension release. Football has been my favourite sport, and I'm a Manchester United fans. Of course, still, for my country Malaysia, I support Harimau Malaya !

This is a story of the day, from my lens. I was there wearing the home kit, yellow with black stripes and others to show my support. Yeah, I'm not alone there. I came with my friends. We came for you Harimau Malaya !

From your left side, it's Mustaqim, my officemate and also the guy on the right, Azizul. The girl is Azizul's wife.

We came kinda early, and we were wondering, will it be the same as before, where the stadium will be only fill just half of it? It's like a culture, really, where the fans were not interested to support the local football team. The stadium never a full house.

But it was a surprised. 90,000 people came on that day, and it was a full house or can I say, seats were not enough until a lot of people need to stand from the beginning until the end of the match ! The lower level and the upper level were so crowded. It was like, wow, it was like, the EPL stadium !

I'm kinda proud to see 90,000 people came with Malaysian flag. People do really love their Harimau Malaya even a lot of critism before about their performance especially in the defence zone. The supporters were really great !

We sat with the team so called the Ultras Malaya. A team well known to support the Harimau Malaya with their superb chants. We chants together from before the match started until to the end of the day, really !

The game started ! Cheers and chants from the crowds really made the mood. Ooooooo....Ma...Lay...Sia ! Ultras Malaya, ekor Harimau Malaya, kami turun ke Bukit Jalil, satu jiwa sokong Malaysia, Singapore $#%@%, dibunuh saja ! ^^,

The first half seems that both side balance in ball control and attack but there were several times where the Harimau Malaya's defence out of focus, poor clearance, too much of holding the ball but still we manage to avoid goals from the Singaporean. No matter what, we keep on chant ! Come on Malaysia !

At half time, the score still 0-0. As mentioned before, we need at least 2-0 to win. Fans were waiting for the first goal. Each fans talked about their opinions on how to win the match, which player need to be change, how to pass the ball, about this and that if they were the coach. Critics started to arise. But for me, we looked from the outside but I'm sure the coach knew what was he doing. He knew the players better than the fans.

Second half started. We continued giving the players our support ! After few minutes, Harimau Malaya scored ! The fans jump with joy, the whole stadium shouted Gooooooooalllllllllll ! It was like an earthquake. Fans jumping and shouting ! It last about 2-3 minutes, Gooooooallllllllllllll !

Thanks to Safee Sali. A great strike from him ! We were thinking that, miracles do happen ! One more goal please Harimau Malaya !

But things go wrong after a few minutes later, Singaporean gave a big disappointment to Harimau Malaya and the fans. They scored..Now we need at least a 3-1 win with few minutes to go.

We were shocked. Oh man, the fans really wanted to see Harimau Malaya to go to the next stage. Until to the last minute, the score ended 1-1. We lost with the aggregate of 6-4.

The fans were so sad. With 90,000 fans came from different states, still not enough to give the Harimau Malaya the boost to score more than 2 goals. It was just, speechless.

But hey, every team will taste victory and lost. At some point we may at the top of the world but the day will come when we will taste the ground. Even Harimau Malaya lost, I'm still proud to be your fans. Thanks to Dato' K. Rajagobal for making Harimau Malaya to be well known this few years. One wish from the fans, be better for the next tournament !

I was there to support Harimau Malaya and will be for the next competition. Come on guys, support our local team !

I'm writing this entry while listening to Yuna new song called Come As You Are. Love the song eventhough I don't really concentrate into the lyrics. Just love the beat and the pictures below was edited in black and white while listening to this song too. Yes, I played it more than 10 times.

I just don't know why, today feels like speechless. I remembered things that happen before, weeks, months, years ago. Things that I do, things that I regret, almost everything. If somehow I can turn back the time, there were things that I wish I didn't do and also there were things that I wish I grabbed the chance. That's life, we tend to change things that happened before rather than planning for a better future.

Memory is something that can shape our future. It may caused us to be happy, strong or confused, lonely....no matter what, it will always follows you. Maybe, just maybe, what I feel right now, is because August is coming. It's the month that I lost half of my soul. The month that my mother past away. It has been 3 years since she past away, and I miss her so much. From cooking to voice, the way she hug me, the way she advice me, the way she kiss me, the way she talks to me..

Well, life must go on, that's the only thing people will tell me if I'm sad about it.

If you noticed, I've been shoot half body only for few outings. I don't know why, currently that's my mood. Prefer to shoot half body rather than whole body and I'm in mood to shoot the moment candid rather than ask the talent to pose and stay still. Hello there ! It's me Hasif Rahman, the nerd single boy who loves photography, haha. Last entry I posted an entry about a talent name Nina Faradina outdoor photoshoot and this entry will be the same talent, second outdoor photoshoot on the same day with different dress.

I'm now in mood in making custom album. Will make it 2-3 albums and bring it anywhere as my portfolio. Wanna decorate my room with pictures taken by me. Put it in a frame, hang it on the wall, put it on my desk, just to show people how much I love photography. What's the point keeping all the pictures but don't print it?

My sifu once said, after you learn how to use the DSLR, the next step is to learn using the editing software like Lightroom, Photoshop, Aperture and a lot more. For me I use both, Lightroom for adjusting the pictures like brigthness, contrast, vibrance and photoshop for touch up and custom album making. This two editing software are more than enough, for me at least and there are a lot of things that I still don't know to use and when I have time, I'll go do a research by google it or by reading the books. Perhaps there are books photoshop for dummy?

As per above pictures, pictures that seems bigger are in 8 x 12 size, it refers to just one page for the custom album while pictures that seems longer are in 8 x 24 size which is it involves two pages. This style of editing can be done only by using the board album and not for sticky album as far as I know. I'm just learning how to make custom album and sorry if I'm giving wrong information.

There are several ideas in my head right now which I will show you more later. Hey, do critics and comment on my arts but please DON'T CRITICS THE TALENT. You may critic me with anything but do respect the talent/model. All the bads come from my weaknesses in composition and credits to the talent/model to give their best to pose.

Hello there. It's been a while I'm away from photography business and outing seems I'm busy but currently things are getting better and there's slot for me to do so. I'm now trying to create custom album with the size of 8 x 12 per page. Not that sticky album but the board album. I'm not sure what people call it, story board album?

It's more unique and looks professional than sticky album but I don't deny it that the cost per album will be more expensive but hey, there are customers that love that kind of album. It all depends on the customer demands, I'm here to offer my services and they can choose which one. One important thing, I'm not a wedding photographer or any event that has fixed date because I'm stuck with my real work schedule. So, I'm selling my services for portrait photography, for students like IPTA/IPTS. Currently I'm using sticky album with 8A size photo. That's kinda cheap and if mistake done in editing, it will be easy to replace but using board, I must be very carefull. Here are some of the example that I manage to think. Need your comment to help me to improve ^^,

This is the cover album. I prefer to make it simple with black as the background with wording to show the name of the talent or perhaps the theme or perhaps wording to show the moment such as wedding custom album, there are words to show the love between the sweet couple.

I know that it's kinda empty, what say you? What to improve?

This will be the second page with 8 x 24 where using 2 pages as one. Page 2 and 3. I look at UK custom album, they love to use this kind of design. The custom album, they design it to look more like..how to say..moment? It's not like usual custom album with a lot of pictures in one page. I know some of the photographers will do that because they need to save the cost as there are a lot of pictures but for personal portraiture I don't think, at least for me, that I need a lot of pictures in one album.

That's all for now. I think I'm gonna change the style of shoot in order to make the custom album more interesting to design. Crop the picture and make it like a story. I'm still learning and will make it better. Better try than never and the most important thing, don't afraid to fail because failure is a lesson

Well, to be honest, I'm totally happy today. It had been years I don't feel this feeling. What? This happy feelings. To be with someone that make you happy all day long. Since 2008, after my mother past away, I was like feeling alone, drown in sadness and hurt deep inside but I kept quite and try to act happy but sometimes it's hard. But today, what happened totally swipe away all that and I'm back ! I'm back ! I'm me again ^^,

It was years before, where I was still too naive in life. The day where I believe that this world is full with happiness and anything that we dream of will go as planned. Yes, it was during my childhood. The day that I feel attracted to someone. Believe it or not, the feeling, how I'm gonna say, not love, but "I like you", sort of, I felt it during standard 3. It was the first day of school for that year which I sat at the centre of the classroom. It was like a new world where non of us know each other and it was like we were waiting for someone to talk to us first, to introduce themselves.

Waiting for that, I looked at the classroom's door, waiting for the teacher to come. At that moment, something happened. I saw a girl, smiling with her friend beside her. It was like suddenly something came to me and steal my heart. My heartbeat seems getting faster. I kept looking at her for several times but she didn't noticed. At that time, I liked her smile. I was...wow..speechless. I managed to get her name during the class ice breaking. Her name, S*******. Just call her S in this entry. Everyday I looked at S, hoping a chance to introduce myself, but I was too afraid. Afraid or ashamed? I just don't know.

One day, there was a festival, I'm not sure what was it for, but I'm sure it's not Valentine's day, the school organised a sale under a club, which we can buy chocolate and flowers to family, friends or teachers. I don't know why, I ordered a red rose for S. I don't think at that age I will know that girl like roses. But I ordered it and put a note " Kepada S, Daripada Budak sama Kelas ", haha. That one I still remember.

The day when the order arrived I was like, wow..how will she reacts to it. Tok tok tok, someone knocked the classroom door. It was the person in charged to deliver the gifts that student ordered before. I was like, WOW ! smiling and feels...WOW ! haha. Suddenly, I was surprised, S received a lot of flowers and chocolates, not just from Budak sama kelas that is me, but also from others. (-_-# From WOW now it changed to Oh man ! haha. But later on, after few weeks, I managed to introduce myself to her and became friends, really close. Ngaa..it was like " cinta monyet " at that time. We went to canteen together, went to the same tuition (accidentally), be in the same group for science project and a lot more.

Until the day I received my UPSR result, I managed to get 5As but S I can't quite remember but that was the last time I saw her and I still remember she spoke to me, " Tahniah Hasif dapat 5A ". I said " terima kasih ". She smiled, and walked away.

Five years later, at high school, months before SPM 2003, I managed to know that she lived near my school and she walked to her house. One day I sat at the gate of my school, waiting, and I saw her walking. But at that time she wore hijab. Oh, I forgot, the day that I met her firstime, she was a free hair girl ^^,. I don't know why I'm too afraid to say "Hi". Maybe it was because we didn't speak at each other for a long time. Until we managed to hang out just for a day. But the day we hanged out together, S was in a relationship with someone and that guy was my classmate during standard 3. Haha ! What a small world ^^,

I remember this story because currently there is a festival happening now at Putrajaya called Floria 2011 with the theme of "Roses forever". If people asked me, who was the first girl to receive presents from me, the answer will be, S ^^, The first girl I like also will be S. But the first girl that I love, still searching. Haha.

This S girl is in my facebook list ^^, She's getting married this year. But not with the guy that she was in relationship with during high school. Haha. Is it ok to give her a rose as her wedding present with a note, written there, " Hasif Rahman, the Budak sama Kelas ". Will she laughs at it or not? hahaha. Anyway, congratulations for your coming wedding S ^^,

I do believe in "love at first sight". It's hard to explain but it really exist. A wise man once said, love at first sight captures the heart. When that happens, time seems to stop, it feels like burning, eyes wide open and love is in the air. Believe it or not, the first thing that you want to know is "her name". Let say her name is Zaharah (hahaha..just an example), you'll surely say, what a nice name. Other than that, we will try to get other information about her where the second thing is, is she available or not. The second thing is like a killer question because the answer can change everything. LoL. Really ! Single leads to happiness, give us an energy, make us happy and try to take the next step but if the answer she's with someone else, heart broken is the answer. But the memories stuck for a long time.

Nowdays, love at first sight not only when you see that someone in front of your eyes, I mean physically seen but current trends, we might fall in love just by using facebook. Seriously said it happened. I remembered this song, sang by Najwa Latif which you can search it in you tube with the title "Cinta Muka Buku". It's kinda a song with a story which two people fall in love which started from being friend in facebook. Really sweet ^^,

But remember, searching a soulmate in facebook sometimes lead to disappointment because the pictures upload in it sometimes not as per physically seen. Lol. A cute little girl can be an obesity when you meet up. So guys, before you really wanna know her deeply, make sure you meet her first before taking any further step. I know girls might reply " boys, always look at physical ". Well, you might be right, but beautiful is subjective. Every guys has different perception on beautiful because for me, beautiful comes in package physically and mentally.

Do you know that waiting leads to pain? It's not easy to wait, especially for the someone or something that you want to be yours. I'm 25 years old now and waiting is like a test for me in my life. Something I'm sure to get it even years of waiting but someone is the only one I'm keep on waiting until now. But hey, maybe because of that, I'm getting strong in doing that. Keep on waiting even things sometimes against me.

Some people might say, it's a waste of time to wait, especially when in the end we don't get it at all. Well, you might..be right about that. But for me, it's not a waste of time. Because I learned a lot and I always believe, for every things that happened before, it's a lesson for me for a better future. I'm a kind that really hard to let go something or someone that I want, really. It will take some times to let go, a year or more.

It was a trip to Melaka. I can't remember what was the trip for but I do remember we went to the Zoo. Who? Me and my family. It's like after 10 years plus we visit the zoo again and nothing much change except one new section others feels the same. We managed to get there around 9 a.m and the animals seem active at that time.

One thing I love about zoo is to see this cat called tiger.

At wrong time, you may see the tiger sleep for hours. It's important to know when is their feed time in order to see they are awake and walking around. I've been standing there like 30 minutes and took a lot of pictures. I manage to shoot close up using my 55-250mm. I'm not brave enough to shoot using 50mm, haha. Convert it into black and white to create the mood.

Oh my, I've been so busy this month and I don't manage to shoot any photoshoot event. That's why I'm kinda moody. It 12.20 a.m already and I need to sleep as tomorrow I'll need to go to work. Monday blues coming~

I'm sitting here, thinking. Why is it so hard to get what we want but it is so easy to get what we don't want? To get what we want, we will put a lot of effort into it and it is not a guarantee that we will get it but the things that we don't want or things that we never think about it, we will get it and the funny things, it happens at the wrong time to make the situation worst.

I've been waiting to buy this DSLR. Saving money for a long time but it seems the money went to something else that really need for me to use it. At some point, I'm thinking of using personal loan to buy it, and I can repay it monthly using my photoshoot's income but after thinking the pros and cons, better not to. Maybe it's better to save the money, and avoid having debt or am I afraid of risk? In business there's a quote, big risk big return. But in this case, am I afraid of the risk or I'm planning for a better future?

Oh man.. I really need that Canon 5D mark II !

Currently having high fever with flu and cough. Even though I'm sick, I'm kinda happy when I received a call from my talent, Nurzahirah Zamri. She made a surprise for me which I don't expect it at all. What? What? Haha. First of all, let me tell you one of my dreams especially involving with photography. One of my dreams is where my photos, captured by me, publish in a magazine, somehow. I'm dreaming where when people look at it and people will say, "Hey, that's Hasif Rahman's picture". It's one of my dreams. Yeah, my picture in a magazine, Remaja, 15th June 2011 edition at page 132 !

First of all, I wanna wish congratulations to Terengganu Football Team for winning the FA Cup 2011 againts Kelantan with the score 2-1 in the final. Peteh Penyu Peteh. Haha. They showed us the spirit of fighting. Even at first they were 1-0 behind at 79th minute, they were not give up and keep on fighting until they won it 2-1 which the winning goal was really a last minute goal or shall I say last seconds. Winning and losing is the law in a competition. After the competition celebrate it but please, just stop all those fighting which team is better, it's suppose to be this and that. A win is a win, you can't deny it. Mistakes done but still, nobody's perfect. Glory glory Gan U ^^,

I'm here not to story about that. I'm here to tell you guys about something. There will be a festival at Putrajaya which it happens every year since 2007. Yes, as per this post's title, it's Putrajaya Floria 2011 !! From 9th to 17th of July 2011, Presint 2, Putrajaya. A big festival with a lot of flowers.

This year the theme will be "Roses Forever". It's a good place to ask someone to be your special one, or even perhaps, propose your dream girl. Surrounded by thousands of roses, the man kneeling, holding the girl's hand, with pure smile, the man ask the girl, a question, "Will you marry me?". Time seems to stop, waiting for the answer. The girl answer it, "I do" ^^,

Photographer must be flexible and creative to create a good picture. Sometimes the mood is there but you need to be creative in order to get that mood. Not all mood is already there and what you need is to shoot only. No, for me, I create it almost every time. For example, what will you do when given a pencil and a small piece of paper, and people ask to shoot it. I believe there will be people out there will shoot the pencil and paper without trying to be creative by create the mood in it. I've tested it. Some of them will shoot the pencil and bokeh the paper. Some will shoot like the hands writing on it and a lot more. If you're being creative try to create the mood. I'm not saying this is the best, just for example. Oh forgot, my blog here, I'm telling to those who is new to photography as a lot of people asking me in email about tips in photography. Those pro photographer, I know when you read my blog you'll say it just a noob teaching. Haha. I said before, I'm not a pro photographer, I'm just a hobbyist bust I'm gonna be a pro hobbyist in photography.

Ok, back to the topic, I wrote three words "I Love You", shoot it at a certain degree of angle and wah la ! There you go. By being creative here's what you'll get.

I put my classic moment tone. I realized that I can adjust the brightness at the center. You can check as per previous entry, where it is a bit darker while this one is bright

I'm trying to follow the flow of life by just saying that, when the times come, you'll get it. But for me, I want someone that I love to be with. I ignore the looks. For me what's important, I'll be happy when I'm with her. Lestik2, neno neno here, dushhhhhh, smmmmmmmash. Haha. Everyday full of smile. What's the point having a girlfriend with big boobs like Pamela Anderson, sexy body like Megan Fox, sexy lips like Angelina Jolie but when you're with that girl, there's nothing to talk about. Assalammualaikum everybody. Thanks for the support by readers. First of all, I want to appologize as before this I don't reply your comments. As from now on, I'll reply all the comments given. Sorry ya guys. Not being rude or proud, but before this I tought comments in blog are not like chats, but bad mistake there, people do love to communicate in blog. All questions asked in my email, be patient, kinda a lot and I need time to reply all of it. I'm not a full time photographer, so I have limited time to do a lot of things. You can remind me if you think that I forgot to reply your questions. Psssst, currently kinda arrange for outdoor photshoot with Ainan Tasneem. I'm one of the fans. Love her voice and the way she plays the guitar. Even I can play it, she's better because I can only play one song ! Haha. She can plays dozen ! Search in youtube Ainan Tasneem, hear her beautiful voice and you'll be amazed ^^

Currently I am re-planning my photography package. I'm getting busy with my real work and I need to change a bit for the package with low cost charge which my main market target will be students from university. With that package, it will help me a lot especially for my customer who wants hardcopy. Few times needed. Making a lot of changes and I'll show you what is the package and example of the albums. From now on, I'll shoot and give you the copy by email only (edited and non edited) until the new package can be use.

I noticed got several people ask me to put EXIF data of each picture. It's not that I don't want to, but kinda busy to put at each picture. Even though I upload it to Flickr you can't see the exif because I combine two pictures into one and Flickr can't even detect the DSLR used. But if you asked me for certain picture, I will reply your question.

As per previous entry, I told you that I'm now creating a new tone, which for now I'll name it as Classic Moment. Still not yet finish, but getting to get it. Creating a tone it's not easy, as other than getting the right mix of colours, you need to know what type of pictures can be use with it.

Here's another example of the Classic Moment Tone (CMT) :

I just bought the chocolate at Shell's Petrol Station. I was attracted with the design and I bought it, use it as a subject for my new tone in creation. I love Cadbury, the milk and almond since I was a kid. I took a few shots and test every picture and from there I know what type of picture can be use with the tone. The position of the subject, the background, lighting, and white balance. But I need to test it more to confirm that the tone is usable. If it can only be use for one picture, it will be useless. One more thing, I don't say that this tone totally my creation, because I don't know if outhere, someone actually create the same. Do comment about it, which part do you think need improvement. Thanks ^^

Believe it or not, while writing for this entry, I'm listening to K-Pop. Haha. Currently addicted to it. Feeling like wanna dance. Lol. Hello there ! I'm here as promised before to show you an outdoor photoshoot last 2 weeks at Taman Permaisuri, Cheras. The girl I have shot her for few times. Her name is Fienaz and that guy's name if not mistaken Joe? Haha. Sorry, I don't remember. Using my Canon 1000D, here's some of the shots taken by me.

Lucky I bring along my bubble gun. Use it to create the mood. Asked my friend to shoot it by the side and ask the couple to play with the bubble and I shot in burst mode to get the perfect moment. Almost 15 shots taken just for this photo, and this is among 15. This picture was croped. You can see the real one as per previous entry. I usually used the same technique to get the mood in the picture which I asked them to do something and I shoot it kinda like candid rather than asked them to pose. Once, my sifu said to me, couple photoshoot is different than a single person portrait because couple photoshoot or pre wed or wedding or anything that involved two person which we want to show there's love between those two, we tend to shoot the romantic moments between them. We need to create that love environment where when people see our pictures, they can feel that love.

These are among the 15 pictures I took with the bubble and I combine that 3 pictures to create like a motion picture. We can see the movement from the left to the right. Sometimes I love to put the pictures in a row because it does help to create that moment. As per previous entry, I told you that the way we present our arts attract people and it's important. I've ask a lot of people. I showed them the original pictures and later showed them the same picture but with different style of presenting it, 92% among them love the different style. People do love something different with others. We tend to be attracted to something that look different.

Play with anything you can use at the place you're using for photoshoot. Find the best angle. Even with just a simple chair, with right pose and angle, it will be something great. Photographers, at least for me, I learned to see in square shape. I play with boxes in my mind. I set my eyes not to be ultra wide but more to like a 50mm. That's how I see when I'm out there to shoot. Err...dizzy statement there.Lol.

Having an ultra wide lens or wide lens is an advantage when you shoot couple. We can shoot them with the surrounding. As I said before this in my entry about creating mood, I do look at the background, use it to create the mood. That's my way of photography. Using ultra wide lens, you need to play with the angle. Shoot several pictures from different angle. Usually for me, I prefer to shoot from below.

Well, that's all for the outing. More pictures but only few will be uploaded here. Oh ya, I'm now in a mood to create a new moment tone. Shall I call it classic moment tone? ^^

Nowdays we can see a lot of people shooting with DSLR. The user can be Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax and a lot more, from beginner entry level to semi pro with lens attached with different usage. We shoot, we edit to make it better and we share with people. But sometimes people might get bored with the usual way, which I called the 4R upload picture.

As for me, I prefer to re-design the picture to make it more interesting. If you are among the people who sell your service in photography, I'm sure that you'll know what I mean. Yeah, it's the way you present your arts to customer. Making a custom album. Here's the example of the picture taken by me.

If you're making a business in photography, don't expect the customer wants that kind of picture except they want to. They expect us to make it into album, a hard copy, printed and present to them in a interesting ways. Kinda like wedding album. I'm happy with portrait photography because I can make the album using my creativity and not bonded to those wedding's law of custom album. I'm saying it from my point of view. Here's the above picture which I make it into better way. (I'm not saying this is the best, just an example).

I croped the picture and put a border with wording. That's how I make my custom album. Usually I use sticky album because of cheaper price. I love to visit girl's photography blog because the way they present their arts are really cute.

Next entry will be about sweet couple as per above picture. Wait for it. See you soon ^^

Sometimes, I did mistake when I shoot portrait. A common mistake and it seems those who just involved in the world of photography will do the same. As per picture above, at some point it seems a fine picture, but there are some error in it and honestly I don't know about it until I open it in Photoshop. It's noon and I'm tired and I overlooked about it. First of all, the leg seems a bit funny. Suddenly there's only one leg and the way the leg pose seems weird. Photographers need to really look at every tiny details because even the smallest thing can effect the whole picture, because when there is something weird, people will look at it more rather than the whole picture.

Another mistake I did in this picture was, the face. I totally mess up with the face. When you shoot a person face, beware of the light such as the sun. Notice that the nose seems totally bright than it's surrounding. It totally disturbs the whole face. For your information, I shot 8 pictures here and none can be use because of that bright light. Hu. My mistake. But what to do, at that time the sun was so hot, i'm thirsty, i'm tireda and because of that, I overlooked at it.

In portrait photography, it's important to get a picture with mood in it. We need to avoid a flat picture. A flat picture where when people see it, it's just a picture. Nothing more. My sifu once said, photographer and talent/model need to work in a team, communicate to each other, know each other. Everyone can shoot perfect picture with right colour, brightness, sharpness and a lot more but not everyone can shoot a picture with a mood in it. That depends on the creativity of the user. Photography and creativity can never be separate.

How to get the mood in the picture? Some of photographers shoot them like candid. Using burst mode in their DSLR, they tend to get the best moment. For example, you asked the talent/model to walk and shoot them in burst mode and you'll choose the best picture. This is where DSLR with high shutter click per second like Canon 7D comes handy. For me, I don't use this way because I use Canon 1000D and shoot in RAW where even to shoot 3 frame per second can't be done. This is where I play with framing. If you noticed, a lot of my pictures, I play along with the background. I use the background to create the mood. As per above picture, I play with the chair and the flare.

Sometimes I use the leaves for framing. You can get this kind of picture by using 50mm lens. Use the lens to get that round bokeh. The light among the leaves will look interesting, like shining stars in picture. From they, you can create the mood in the picture. That's my way to create the mood. Using the background. You can use the fence, grass, flower and a lot more. Just go to my flickr and you can see it.

Sometimes I used props to create the moment. Playing with bubbles, or teddy bear like the above picture, books, umbrella and a lot more. It does help to create the mood in the picture. As per above picture I used the teddy bear as props to create the mood. You may see the other pictures at the entry (click here). Well, that's my way of creating mood in the picture. Here's the same picture which I edit it with texture. I'm still learning to get it right. A bit rough in editing there. As per previous entry, people ask me about tutorial on editing. Err..seriously I don't have any fix style of editing. I google, and I change the style to suit my taste. Maybe later I post the link from where I learned the editing. That's better. ^^

Have you heard where "photographers", those who just involved in photography world said "I want to learn that tone/editing to create superb picture". But the basic of using DSLR still not fully mastered. They are hoping that tone/editing to make their picture superb no matter how they shoot and the composition of the picture. When we saw a picture with a tone, it doesn't not mean that all pictures can use the same tone. Usually when a photographer creates a tone, it was created to suit his/her style of shooting and they know how to full utilise the tone. It's not just by having that tone, you can use it at all pictures and hoping that it will create something superb. That's why, sometime we say a picture looks moody. The tone kinda not suitable with the picture but I don't know why the photographer thinks it's superb. How can a skin tone become purple?

Have you ever heard people said, "get the picture right first, and no matter how you edit it, it will become something unique". It's damn true. Tone is like a sauce, and a picture is like a fried rice. No matter how delicious the sauce is but if the fried rice is terrible, will you eat it? Too much of salt maybe, or the rice half cook, will you eat it? That's how it goes with photography. No matter how superb the tone is but if the pictures are terrible, it will become worst with the tone. Get the picture right first. Learn the basic on how to full utilise the DSLR from ISO to aperture to shutter speed and the creativity to compose the picture. For example ( Not saying this the best picture), this is the first picture. Natural colour.

When you have the right picture you can edit it with a lot of style. From natural colour I can edit it with tone to give a bit of moment and the skin tone still not that far away (not purple or green or whatever). Put a bit of vigenette, fill light, play with layer and curve and contrast and vibrance and erase and bla bla bla, here's the result.

Or if I'm bored with colours I can make it into black and white or sephia black and white and mix with texture to give a bit of impact to the picture. Making it like old pictures.

So guys, if you wanna learn a tone or editing style, first is to know the basic to shoot. Get the picture right first and then you can learn how to utilise a tone or editing style. Remember, tone is only a sauce. Err...hahaha..

Wow ! That picture, so bright ! Haha. That's what some people told me for few pictures. For your information, it's called backlighting and it's one of my favourite shots. It's not easy to get it and it's not hard to do it. Just need patience and a good composition. It may gives you "sigh" to get it and when you get it, it will be "wow". Haha. For all my backlighting pictures, I don't use any flash. I made the background overexposed and make sure the main subject such as the face can be seen.

The easy method to make sure you get the backlighting with the main subject can be seen clearly is to use umbrella or sofbox attached with flash. Why I don't use it? I'm so lazy to carry those heavy equipment plus I don't have external flash. Too expensive. Lol. Anyone wanna give me Canon 580EX II? Hee..

One of my way to get the backlighting without using flash is playing with composition. I'll make sure that the source of the light such as the sun can't be seen direct but make sure that there's something that block it a bit such as the head, tree or anything. Because if you put the sun in your composition, you'll find it's hard to auto focus and if you're using manual focus, your eye kinda feel a bit pain with the light. This is my way, not the pro way, so don't say I'm teaching the wrong things, it's my way.

Other than that, you need to use the manual mode where you play with the ISO, shutter speed and aperture. It helps you a lot rather than using program mode. For your information, I always shoot in RAW. I'm not in a hurry to process the picture such as wedding Official Photographer so I don't need to shoot in JPEG. Using RAW does not mean you're not pro or cheating. It's up to you. Customer never think what we use, RAW or JPEG, they just want "beautiful picture". Such as people who bought KFC or Mc Donald, do you want to know how they do it or what's the taste?

During this shot taken, I'm using Canon 1000D with 50mm. I walked around and snap several pictures, where I shoot it candid without her knowing. Lucky the 50mm is USM lens which is fast focusing. Some of the pictures were blur and few manage to get almost sharp or sharp. I used tree as the medium to hide a bit the sun from directly hit the lens. Wah la ! That's how I get this picture. A bit editing in photoshop to add a bit moment. Oh ya..here's an article about backlighting from a blog which I make it as an inspiration in photography. Wazari Wazir.

Do you still remember, years ago, for those who lives in the world where tv shows were in black and white? At that time, even without colours, tv was like a miracle to us, something unique. But once colour tv showed up, black and white tv was forgotten and i don't think people want to use it anymore. But in photography, it is totally different. Black and white pictures really gives something to us. In photography world, black and white are well known as B&W.

There once an anonymous said :

"we wonder why black and white pictures capture our soul. I think it's because without colour, we aren't drawn to make-up, or to the colour of the eyes, or how tan our skin is. Black and white captures the innocence on one's face and their feelings. The glow that we see comes from inside"

Black and white really helps when you involve in street photography. Ok, before that, I wanna say, not all street photography must be black and white, and black and white photography is not for street, but black and white do helps to captures the soul in street. Err...haha. I've seen people ask why street photography pictures mostly in black and white. Well, it depends actually. It depends on the ligthing, the composition, the moment and a lot more. Easy to said not all pictures are suitable with black and white, but mostly all street photography pictures suitable with black and white tone. It's because street photography (from my opinion) tends to capture the soul of the street, the moment that happens once in a life time and black and white gives that soul to the picture. But hey, some of the street photography pictures were great in colours.

The above picture is similar to the previous entry just I change it into black and white and both give different feels, at least for me. I print it in hardcopy, and hang it at my wall. That's how I decorate my room, full of pictures captured by me where I don't just only save it in my laptop, my hardisk, upload it to facebook, flickr and blog, but I print it in hardcopy and make my personal portfolio. I really love what I'm doing for my hobby even though I used thousands of Ringgit.

I've shoot a lot of pictures for almost 2 years since I involved with photography. During that 2 years, I tried a lot of photography from potrait to landscape, street, macro, food, nature and not forgotten also, journalist. Now, I know what kind of photography that I'm in love with. Potrait,landscape,street and photojournalist are what I love to shoot. (Just to share)

Here's a picture of Shafienaz. Shot taken during a photography competition at Tasik Permaisuri Cheras. This picture was crop from the real one and this is not the picture submitted for the competition. The pictures submitted for the competition must not over editted for your information. I'm kinda like to shoot potrait like this, like a album cover. Don't ask me how I create the tone. Believe it, I mix a lot ot colour and layer and I don't remember. Haha. For your information, for every picture where I used tone, the steps are not the same. Haha.

Mmm..I received a lot of messages by email, facebook and phone about my photography service. I'll answer it here. I don't shoot for wedding or engagement or pre wedding or event or personal potrait for portfolio. I'm really busy and I shoot when I'm free and I don't know when. I bring along my DSLR whenever I go and when I see something that attract me, I'll shoot. Those pictures where I shoot with talent, I shoot when I'm really free. It's like, "hey, tomorrow I'm free, let's shoot". So, if you ask me to shoot like few weeks to come or a fix day, I'm sorry, I can't. I'm busy with works and works call me at anytime. I know some of my friends mad at me because I keep on not answering their wish for me to shoot them, and honestly, I'm sorry.

I love to shoot girls with hijab. I'm not being, how to say, choosy in talent/model, it's just, girls with hijab attracts me more, and I'm full of confident to shoot them. It's like the picture of a hijab girl, shows the inner beauty of the user. Haha. Well, photography becomes superb when you shoot from your heart, so, hijab girls do help me to shoot from my heart. Dizzy with my statement? LOL.

Make-up Artist or well known as MUA is an artist that use the human body as their medium in order to show people their arts. Make-up is the tools use by them to show their arts. Their arts can be divided into several categories like photography too such as, fashion make-up, theatre make-up,bridal make-up,special effect make-up and a lot more. Each categories will need different skills and knowledge. Professional photographers will need the skill of MUA to make their potrait picture looks better. But bear in mind, not all potrait need to use MUA, it depends.

A customer once said to a MUA, Mua's job is "transforming people into the best look they can be while retaining their natural looks". Before this, I kinda not into using MUA as for me it's kinda a burden as for the make-up, it takes time. But nowdays, MUA really give a hand to me when I shoot potrait because it makes thing easier esspecially for the skin, where it will be less time to edit in photoshop. Sudah sampai masa untuk diri ini berdikari dalam kehidupan. Sudah tiba saat keluar dari perlindungan cengkerang telur yang selama ini memberi perlindungan pada diri ini. Sudah tiba masa untuk diri ini mencari hala tuju hidupnya serta mencapai impiannya yang sudah lama di idamkan selama ini. Sudah tiba masa diri ini berani untuk melangkah ke dunia yang penuh cabaran. Diri ini sudah tidak boleh terlalu selesa dengan apa yang ada kerana apabila tiba saat semua itu hilang, ditakuti akan jatuh terduduk jika tidak bersedia dari sekarang.

During our childhood, before sleep or whenever our parents want to teach us to read, they will read to us about fairy tale stories. Remember Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Tarzan, Beauty and The Beast, The Little Mermaid and a lot more where all of them will have the same ending "...now live happily ever after..". All those stories taught us about love, about being a person who love peace, giving us hope where someday we will live happily ever after even now we are having a lot of problems. Fairy tales do effect us somehow. Well, I did read fairy tales years ago.

Enough said, here's some of the photoshoot for Munirah and her Big Teddy. Shot taken at somewhere in wonderland at Putrajaya (use the word wonderland because I forgot where) using my Canon 1000D with 55-250mm. Not much shot taken because suddenly it rained. Enjoy~
